Introduction

Welcome to St Mary’s Church, Rath.

St. Mary’s church was built in 1869 replacing an earlier building whose ruins can be seen at Liscullaun. This rectangular church contains memorial stained-glass windows depicting the sacred Heart of Jesus, the Blessed Virgin and St. Joseph. The windows were erected by Rev. J.P. O’Gorman in memory of his parents and sister.
