Introduction

Welcome to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballinruan.

The chapel of Ballinruan was built in 1824 with further work carried out in 1857. This church is distinctive in that it has the shape of two aisles at right angles to each other. Adapting to the vision of Vatican Two further work was carried which was designed by W.J. Judge and the church was rededicated to the Immaculate Conception by Bishop Michael Harty 1976.
