Meeting of Imeall Boirne Coordinating Team May 8th 2025

A meeting of the Imeall Boirne Coordinating Team took place in Tubber Hall on Thursday May 8th @ 8pm. The following items were discussed:

    1. Dysart – Date to be arranged
    1. St. Brigid’s Well, Crusheen – Date in September to be arranged
    1. St. Blathmhac’s Church, Rath July 24th

    • Month of May is Safeguarding Month
    • Workshops organised by Killaloe Diocese

  • Lent / Easter

A Review of the Lenten Season and the Celebration of Easter took place. A sincere word of thanks to all who organised our gatherings during Lent and Easter.

  • Finance
    • A discussion on the Diocesan Information Evening
      • Allianz Insurance
      • Financial Procedures
    • 2024 A/Cs compiled and published for each of the four parishes. Thanks expressed to the Finance Group for all their work.
    • Audit 2022 – Copies of Audit 2022 were presented to each of the four parishes for discussion at local Parish Pastoral Councils.

Items for inclusion in the Imeall Boirne website welcome.

  • Newsletter – A discussion took place on the size of the font in our current Newsletter. Other Pastoral Area Newsletters were viewed and it was agreed to continue looking at options and discuss this matter further in the Autumn.
  • Celebration of Wedding Anniversaries St. Cronan’s Church, Crusheen May 22nd.
  • Statue of the Sacred Heart – It was agreed to host the Statue in one location and St. Brigid’s Church, Corofin was designated as the location for the Statue which will be in situ Sunday May 25th and Monday May 26th.
  • A discussion took place on the arrangement for church buildings  facilitating Funeral Removals and the payment to the parishes for use of the building and as a way of covering costs of light, heat and cleaning. Further discussion to take place in the Parish Councils.
  • An invitation to each Parish Pastoral Council to look at the possibility of outdoor Masses during the summer to honour local sites.
  • Next meeting  – Crusheen in the Autumn.
